Our Standards

Most tool stores will sell you anything they can source. We won't, and here is the list.

What we stock

Small, clever gear that makes renovation work faster and cleaner in someone else's house. Dust control. Panel handling. Cutting accuracy. Clean-up. The problems that don't show up in a bid but eat the day.

The test is simple: does it solve a problem you can name in one sentence, and would we hand it to a friend on their own job?

What we refuse to sell you

There is a whole category of product we could stock profitably and won't:

  • Power tools you depend on. Drills, saws, sanders, screw guns. If a tool failing means your day stops, buy it from a supply house with a counter you can walk into and a warranty someone honours in person. Not from an online store. Not from us.
  • Safety-critical equipment. Respirators, fall protection, anything rated. Certification you can't verify is worse than no certification.
  • Anything we can't describe honestly. If we can't tell you what it doesn't do, we don't list it.
  • Commodity filler. Bulk sheeting, generic tape, the stuff that's cheaper at the big box on the way to the job.

That list costs us money. It's also the reason to buy from us instead of the next store.

Cheap is fine. Never cheap.

There's a difference between a $35 accessory that does one job properly and a $35 tool pretending to be a $300 one. We stock the first and we won't touch the second.

Every product page has a section headed “What it isn't.” It names the real limitations — the tool that isn't included, the ceiling type that won't work, the rating that isn't a suggestion. We write it before we write the sales copy.

We didn't make any of this

We're a retailer. The gear we stock is made by other companies — VEVOR, TCHOSUZ and others — and it arrives in their packaging with their names on it. The manufacturer is listed in every product's spec table.

We could peel the labels off and call it our own. Plenty do. We'd rather you know exactly what's turning up, so you can go and price it elsewhere if you want to. Our value is the picking and the honesty about it, not a sticker.

The shipping number is the real one

We ship from US warehouses. Most orders land in 3–8 business days; some items take up to 10. The exact window is on each product page because it genuinely differs by item.

That's not two-day shipping and we're not going to say it is. It also isn't the three-week wait with tracking that dies over the Pacific. If we're going to miss a date, you hear from us before it passes.

Orders over $50 ship free. Under $50 it's a flat $4.90 anywhere in the United States.

We're new, and here is exactly where that shows

These four products are our opening listings. They cleared our margin test and our honesty test on paper — manufacturer specifications, dimensions, and a long look at what each one can't do. We have not had them in our hands on a real job yet, and our samples aren't in.

So the photographs on every product page belong to the manufacturer, and every one of those pages says so in plain sight. Samples are the next money this business spends. When one arrives you'll get our own photographs, our own measurements, and an honest note if the thing disappointed us. If it disappoints us badly enough, it comes off the shelf and we'll say why.

You can't honestly describe a tool from a photograph alone. So these pages don't try. They state what the maker claims and what we can verify, and they tell you which is which.

If we get it wrong

Tell us. We'll fix the product page, and you get 30 days to send the thing back — we pay the return shipping when the fault is ours. Email us.
