Cut a clean, square box slot in drywall without measuring it twice.
Marking, scoring, and freehanding outlet and switch cutouts is the fiddly part of hanging board — and a slot that comes out 3 mm oversize is a slot you're caulking later. This is a guide plate for your oscillating multi-tool that gives you the box shape in one pass.
How it works
The plate registers against the board and gives the blade a hard edge to run along on all four sides. All four sides cut at once. You get a repeatable square opening at a known size, instead of four freehand cuts that have to meet at the corners.
The sizes — check these before you order
Two plates in the pack, cutting two sizes:
- 2-3/8 in × 3-3/4 in — standard single-gang
- 3-3/4 in × 4 in — the larger opening
If the boxes you actually run aren't one of those two, this won't fit them. We'd rather you check now than send it back.

Read this before you buy
The tool isn't included — this is an attachment guide, and you need your own oscillating multi-tool to use it. Check the compatibility chart in the photos against your tool's mount.
It's a guide, not a dust collector. You'll still want a vac on the cut or a barrier up if you're working in a finished room.
Two fixed sizes only. Old work boxes, double-gang and low-voltage brackets aren't covered.
This is a TCHOSUZ plate and the name is on the packaging. We didn't make it. We picked it because it was the one accessory in a catalogue full of power tools that we'd actually put in someone's hand.
